How can I reach a Mercy Health Plans’ nurse?
Have medical questions? Mercy Health Plans offers your family access to the
Mercy-on-Call Nurse Advice Line, a 24-hour nurse line. A registered nurse is
available to answer any health questions you may have. To talk to one of our
nurses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, call 1-800-811-1187.
What If I Think That My
Child Needs Counseling?
We can help. A PCP
referral is not needed for mental health care. Mental health care includes care
for people with mental illness. In addition, mental health care helps children
who abuse drugs or alcohol.
You may go to any
Mercy Health Plans mental health
provider.
If you feel your child
needs mental health care, call Unity Mental Health at 1-800-413-8008. They can
help your child 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Who do I contact about renewing my CHIP benefit plan?
It is important to renew your children’s CHIP
coverage every six months to prevent a lapse in coverage. If you let your
coverage expire, when you apply again, you will be subject to the 90-day waiting
period.
Re-enrolling your children in CHIP is easy. The
state will send your family a renewal packet during your children’s fourth month
of coverage. This packet will include an application with some of your
information already filled in.
