Heart & Vascular Disease

Blood Pressure Target: <140/90 or in people with diabetes or renal disease
< 130/80

At least every two years

Cholesterol Screening Test: Total Cholesterol: < 200 mg/dl, LDL: < 100 mg/dl - Ideal target

Every 5 years in men ages 35 or > and high risk men ages 20-35 with other risk factors for coronary heart disease

Type 2 Diabetes: fasting blood sugar
< 100

Men with sustained blood pressure (treated or untreated) > 135/80
